I’m not Our story

I I started eatingwithari as a blog when I was eighteen and working in the food industry. What began as a personal outlet quickly evolved into my social media handle and sparked unwavering support from an incredible community. Instagram became my creative space to share my passion for all things food—travel, cooking, and everything in between. The overwhelming positive response became the driving force behind my decision to pursue this path professionally.

I studied culinary arts in Italy, returned home during the pandemic to attend Escoffier and the Culinary Institute of America at Greystone in St. Helena, and later honed my skills baking in Paris and cooking in Spain, Mexico, and South America. I’ve worked as a private chef, headed two kitchens, and built a private catering business from the ground up.

For a while, I considered starting a food truck. But one morning, sitting in a café between jobs, I decided to take the leap and open our brick-and-mortar location Called Roots. Today, we make most of our menu items and baked goods in-house; what we don’t make ourselves, we source locally. Food is our passion, and quality ingredients are our priority. We proudly support local farms, dairies, and butcheries.

The most rewarding part of this journey is sharing our craft with the community. When you dine with us, we want you to feel like family—welcomed, comforted, and confident in the care and quality that goes into every plate. At roots you can enjoy fresh pastas, sandwiches, picnic plates, takeaway items, and brunch on weekends.

Our ingredients

We work with our local farmers to source all of the grains, fruit, and dairy that go into our breads and pastries. We care about the animals, the farmers, and we care about every ingredients we serve. Quality that runs root deep.

We believe in the power of a really great cup of coffee. Our morning doesn’t start till we finish our first cup of coffee. In addition to impeccable flavor, we also care about where our beans come from.

We source our beans from a local coffee roasting company whose been roasting their own coffee since 1985. Napa Valley Coffee Roasting Company has a team of dedicated individuals who lead the way to the best coffee.
